One guard that stood out in the Atlantic Coast Classic was Sameera Smith. Before a head injury sidelined her, Sameera was putting together a nice tournament for herself by constantly attacking the basket. Whether it was a made or missed shot she pushed the ball up the court, sometimes catching the defense not hustling back. She took full advantage by finding lanes for layups or drawing the defense in and kicking out passes for open shots to her teammates. Sameera did everything a point guard leader is supposed to do, including hitting some clutch free throws down the stretch. We were really impressed with Sameera competitiveness and look forward to watching how her game progresses.
