Jerry Easter looked like the best upside kid out of the entire 300+ kids at the NEO Youth Elite Showcase in Cleveland, Ohio this weekend, which is impressive considering how many of these young talented ballers were in attendance. Jerry used his handles, height, length, and motor to separate himself from the pack. With his lethal crossover and shiftiness, it was extremely hard for defenders to stay in front of him. He could stop anywhere on the floor and drop the 3 or midrange, as well as get to the rack and utilize natural athleticism to finish in the paint. Defensively Jerry used his height and length to defend, block shots, and deny opponents the path to get to certain spots on the floor. Probably one of the most noticeable features to our staff however was Jerry’s nonstop activity, he just never seemed took a play off. Jerry earned himself an invitation to the prestigious invitation only Hot 100 Middle School Showcase in Raleigh, NC March 16-17th, looking to solidify his claim as one of the top prospects in his class.
