There’s not too many times you will get a chance to see a five star prospect on the roster of a high school and college game in the same week, but that opportunity came this week with Silvio de Sousa. He reported to Kansas right before their matchup against Texas, just days after leading his IMG Academy team to the championship of the Chick-Fil-A Classic in a tough matchup against national powerhouse Oak Hill Academy. This athletic, strong forward is expected to contribute on the glass from the day he steps on campus in Lawrence, but that’s only because he has the capabilities to do so. With this size, skill, and athleticism we are expecting Silvio de Sousa to hit the ground running with his new teammates. Already a top contender, Silvio may be the piece that boosts Kansas to a deep run in March.
