When Rechon Black comes out of the gate aggressively, Cox Mill looks like a completely different team. With his length, this combo guard affectionately known as “Leaky” can be utilized all over the floor, which is apparent by the stat book. We had a chance to catch Leaky twice during the holiday break, first at the BoJangles Bash and then again at the Chick-Fil-A Classic. We noticed he had a smooth flow to his game, never forcing the action. Black knocked down it down from mid-range and from beyond the arc, while still contributing in other stat categories with steals and a few huge weak side blocks. One thing is for certain, the Univeristy of North Carolina has a player who will live up to the Tarheels’ standards.
