To say Gary Jones was impressive at the Icebreaker Hoopfest would be a gross understatement. Not just because his opponents had no answer for his overpowering strength and size. But this kid is a very skilled post who used multiple finishing moves to finish at the basket like the up-and-under, the baby hook, and the strong traditional drop-step. What we also liked is how hard Gary worked for position in the paint. The harder he worked the more his team fed him, thus leading to Gary having a monster game. With his upside being apparent, it will be interesting to see what schools start gravitating towards this big man.
