At the Say Yes To Success Elite Prep Showcase we got our first chance to see Diamond Miller, a USA Trials prospect with size and length. She’s a very skilled, long-armed guard with a tight handle, able to stop and go on a dime and switch directions fluently. In the open court she’s tough to guard, using her length to push the rock up the floor with only a few speed dribbles before getting to the rim. (Sidenote: we absolutely love her Eurostep). With a pretty stroke, Diamond also showed she is a major threat from well beyond the arc and can’t be left unguarded, forcing opponents to step out on her. Defensively, she effectively used that same wingspan to defend multiple positions.
