One of the crowd draws of the NEO Elite Youth Showcase was the smooth Sonny Johnson Jr. In the open floor he showed off his ability to get end-to-end with his incredible burst of speed with the basketball and finishing in traffic. This kid has an advanced handle that was only amplified by his ability to see the floor and deliver some elite level passes. A lot of young kids come with highlight hype early, but what may separate Sonny is his point guard & overall basketball IQ. He plays with an upperclassman demeanor and reads the defense as if he's had the experience he's yet to have had.
